August & Peter is off to Iceland for aerial pictures of the amazing and varied landscape and to take pictures on the outdoor theme of camping and backpacking.

He has just returned from a short break in Amsterdam but still found time to take some pictures of that wonderful city.

July and Peter endured one of his toughest trips yet to E. Tibet, Sichuan Province, China. Having been turned back on the first day by jittery Police prescence they had to take an 800km detour on rough mountain roads and after 3 days of 16hr driving just made the first masked dance festival.

However he was later able to witness a unique horse festival that with no other westerners present had a true wild west feel, situated in open grasslands. He also enjoyed the warmth, good humour & spirit so prevelant amongst The Tibetan people.

After shooting in Morocco during March which included travelling across the desert by camel. An intensive period of travel took Peter to Andalucia in Spain, NY, and Greece for the end of April & May.

In Spain Peter was shooting video footage of Semana Santa for a U.S. TV programme. These assignments are never straight forward and some of the processions were cancelled for the first time in 80 years due to the bad weather. Afterwards Peter flew in a gyrocopter in the area around Jerez taking aerial landscape & green energy pictures of wind turbines, solar panels etc.

After a few days at home to pack some fresh clothes, it was off to NY for more aerial photography this time over Manhattan, plans were disrupted when President Obama suddenly flew in to visit Ground Zero closing air space for a couple of days. The very final evening was rewarded with clear conditions and the setting sun reflected of The Empire State and other skyscrapers.

End of the month it was a trip to Greece, Athens and back-packing around some of the islands. Including the small gem of Symi Island just off Rhodes. Here he was so seduced he nearly didn't extract himself from it's clutches changing the return ferry ticket some three times before finally making an escape.

East Tibet: Land of The Khampa Warriors.

Peter is planning a trip to E.Tibet or Kham as it's known from about the 5th-21st July 2011 to explore this rugged region. He will be there for a horse festival and, hopefully see masked dancing at one of the monasteries. This is a unique opportunity to accompany Peter, where he will be happy to share his photographic knowledge.

The group will be Peter plus one or two others. Very few travelers explore this region and at times accommodation might be fairly basic. For further details please e-mail us.
