About

Peter Adams was and remains one of the world’s leading travel photographers.

He started his photography business in 1986 working for design studios, advertising agencies and corporate clients. Gradually concentrating on travel photography, in 2003 he won the prestigious Travel Photographer of The Year title and in 2010 he won The London Photographic Association’s ‘Let’s Face It 6’ for a series of six portraits taken in Ethiopia.

Over the years, his search for images took him to nearly 100 countries. His photographs continue to be reproduced and can be seen as wall art, cards and calendars as well as being found in books and magazines (such as National Geographic and Geo) and billboard advertisements. He was a regular contributor to TRVL travel magazine and his film work has appeared on The National Geographic channel, in TV documentaries, advertising campaigns and Hollywood films such as ‘Contagion’.

Sadly Peter died in 2016 but he leaves a rich legacy and an array of inspiring photographs.
